Presented by State Auto Insurance Companies, a Lincoln Theatre Walk of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 28, at 7pm, to memorialize the three visionaries responsible for the historic Lincoln Theatre's rescue, renovation, and 2009 reopening-Michael B. Coleman, Bill Conner, and Larry James.

For its 27th annual event, Dance for Life Chicago presents a diverse group of companies and artists performing August 18 at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, 50 E. Goodman Theatre announces Jo Cattell as the recipient of the 2017/2018 Michael Maggio Directing Fellowship, an honor reserved for early-career Chicago-based directors. Cattell will gain complete access to the artistic process at the Goodman, including the opportunity to assist on a Goodman production-from early research and design through the casting and rehearsal process to the opening. The annual fellowship was established in 2002 to honor the memory and artistry of Goodman Associate Artistic Director Michael Maggio (1951 - 2000) who directed a total of 22 productions at the Goodman and more than 60 productions around the country.

LUNAR FIRE, based in denver colorado, takes audiences to new heights with spectacular dance and musical performances. Pre-Columbian flutes, multilingual vocalists, powerful drummers and a wide range of bass and guitar styles tell stories reflected in dance. Aerialists fly, drop from the sky, crawl into a cocoon and emerge a warrior, a nature spirit, an animal guide. Multiple dancers meld into one multi armed being, circle, battle and burn fire in the form of dreamcatchers, antlers, machetes, staff, torches, ropes, multi poi, fans, fireflies and other surprises. Paintings come to life mysteriously hovering in the air. These mystic images by visionary painters MARTINA HOFFMANN, ROBERT VENOSA, STEVON LUCERO and ADAM FU twist and bend under the movement of dance, a very enchanting and psychedelic visual effect.

On Monday 25 September 2017, the cast of STOMP celebrated the show's 15th Birthday in London's West End, with cast member Andrew Patrick bringing a birthday cake onto the stage at the end of the show.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, under the artistic direction of Glenn Edgerton, announces today, programming for Season 39 Summer Series, June 8-11, 2017 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance. The program features a look at Hubbard Street through the decades, featuring The 40s and Georgia by Lou Conte, Twyla Tharp's The Golden Section, an excerpt from Resident Choreographer, Alejandro Cerrudo's One Thousand Pieces as well as pieces by Jim Vincent, Crystal Pite, William Forsythe, and Lucas Crandall.

Today, Thursday 27 April, Argyle Primary School in King's Cross took part in Camden Council's 'Daily Mile' campaign to boost walking in the borough. The children set off from the school (on Tonbridge Street) to the Ambassadors Theatre, to take to the stage with STOMP cast members Andrew Patrick, Rob Shaw, Rhys Shone and Sam Wilmott.
