Steep Theatre to Welcome Original Cast of HARPER REGAN for 15th Anniversary Reading

Steep Theatre Company opened its first show, Keith Reddin's Life During Wartime, in early March 2001. On March 7, 2016, the ensemble will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a one-night-only staged reading of Simon Stephens' HARPER REGAN, held in Steppenwolf Theatre's upstairs performance space. Steep's 2010 production of HARPER REGAN was a landmark production for the ensemble and an iconic example of Steep's daring, powerful, and ensemble-driven brand of theatre.
NATURAL LIFE to Open in March at T. Schreiber Theatre

'Natural Life' by Eduardo Ivan Lopez tells the tale of a death row inmate convicted of murder. But unlike the heroes of 'The Exonerated,' she is guilty of the crime. The play is inspired by a true incident in the 1980's. T. Schreiber Theatre, 151 West 26th Street, will present the play's world premiere March 2 to April 2, directed by Jake Turner.

Syracuse University's Department of Drama tackles the volatile combination of adolescence and anxiety in Simon Stephens' 2009 play Punk Rock. Directed by Robert Moss, this production from one of Britain's most celebrated contemporary playwrights runs at the Storch Theatre February 19-28, 2016 in the Syracuse Stage/SU Drama Complex. Opening night performance is Saturday, February 20 at 8 p.m.

Simon Stephens' HERONS and More Slated for Lyric Hammersmith's Spring 2016 Season

The Lyric Hammersmith today announces its Spring 2016 Season. They will present the first professional production of Simon Stephen's HERONS since the play premiered at the Royal Court in 2001, directed by the Lyric's Artistic Director Sean Holmes. This is followed by the return of their co- production with Filter Theatre of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM last staged in 2012. Whilst the Royal Opera will present, two contemporary operas, PLEASURE by Mark Simpson featuring well-known British soprano Lesley Garrett and the world premiere of Sarah Kane's 4:48 PSYCHOSIS by Philip Venables, both presented in association with the Lyric.
