Four of today's most powerful plays, plus a world premiere musical and a timeless Beckett play have been scheduled for Center Theatre Group's 2012 season at the Mark Taper Forum, it was announced today by CTG Artistic Director Michael Ritchie.

Acclaimed theater company Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced it will once again present its popular, annual benefit evening STORIES ON 5 STORIES. Signature Theatre has its 'Sizzlin' Summer Cabaret' series with visits from Broadway favorites Marc Kudisch and Julia Murney, and Signature favorites Erin Driscoll, Sandy Bainum, and Lauren Williams. The talk of the town is Cate Blanchett visiting The Eisenhower Theatre at The Kennedy Center, where a hundred yards away Wicked is playing to SRO audiences (what else is new?).

Playwrights Horizons will present the New York premiere of COMPLETENESS, a new play by Itamar Moses (The Four of Us, Bach at Leipzig). Directed by Obie Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Clybourne Park at PH, The Four of Us, Occupant, Peter and Jerry), the production will begin previews Friday, August 19 at 8PM with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, September 13 at 7PM. The first production of the theater company's 2011/2012 Season, the limited engagement will play through Sunday, September 25 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater. Yesterday, the company met the press and BroadwayWorld was there!

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company will remount the company's smash-hit production of Bruce Norris' Clybourne Park from July 21 - August 14, 2011. The entire original cast is scheduled to return for the production, again directed by Woolly Mammoth Artistic Director Howard Shalwitz.

With the first performance of Woolly's Clybourne Park remount in exactly one week, influential DC leaders are jumping at the chance to spark post-show conversations with audience members in Woolly's effort to program a post-show event after every performance of the show.

Michael Ritchie, Artistic Director of Center Theatre Group, has set the 2011-2012 season at CTG's Kirk Douglas Theatre.
