LCT3 presents the world premiere of an LCT3 commission, WHEN I COME TO DIE, a new play by Nathan Louis Jackson, directed by Thomas Kail.



WHEN I COME TO DIE tells the story of Damon Robinson, a death-row inmate played by Chris Chalk (Fences), who struggles to find faith and hope and understand why his life has been spared after he survives a lethal injection.



This new play re-unites author Nathan Louis Jackson and director Thomas Kail, who brought Broke-ology to LCT in Fall 2009. Nathan Louis Jackson is a two-time Lorraine Hansberry Playwriting Award winner. His television writing credits include "Shameless", "Southland" and "Lights Out". Thomas Kail received a Tony nomination for directing In The Heights and most recently, directed the current Broadway production of Lombardi, a new play by Eric Simonson.



LCT3 is Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and building new audiences.

Ohtis have revealed a short film inspired by their captivating single 'Runnin' - a track Line Of Best Fit have noted the band 'project their adept storytelling ability and team it with an elegant country melody.'  It was directed by Claes Nordwall (Parquet Courts, Steve Gunn) who states, 'I was really entranced by the beautiful pedal steel laced Americana music and the heart wrenching back story and wanted to make a delicate film portrait of a young person struggling with addiction. The line in the lyrics referencing the situation where Sam almost lost his dog in a car accident in New Mexico made me want to make something that shows the life saving impact an animal can have.'

The 62nd BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express® announces its jury line-up for this year's Festival Awards. The juries will be led by: Academy Award-nominated director Lenny Abrahamson, nominee for the LFF Best Film Award for Room (LFF 2015 and also director of Frank, winner Best Screenplay BIFA 2014); Francis Lee, winner of the 2017 BIFA for Best Debut Screenwriter for God's Own Country; the prolific, award-winning documentary producer Simon Chinn, who won the 2009 and 2013 Academy Award for Best Documentary for Man on Wire and Searching For Sugarman respectively; and director Rungano Nyoni, whose film I Am Not a Witch was in the First Feature competition in the Festival last year (securing her a nomination for the IWC Schaffhausen Filmmaker Bursary Award in association with the BFI), won the BAFTA for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer and is the UK's entry for Best Foreign Language Film for the 2019 Academy Awards.
