Brian Dykstra, an actor, playwright, and HBO Def Poet currently playing Moriarty in the DTF production of Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily will perform his one man show Brian Dykstra Selling Out, directed by Sherlock director Margarett Perry, on July 14th at 8:00 PM. The National Theatre's production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time has welcomed a new cast to the West End production, and last night (30 June 2015) held a special gala performance with celebrity V.I.P. guests at the Gielgud Theatre.  Last month the play was one of the big winners at the Tony Awards® in New York, winning 5 awards including Best New Play. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time recently extended booking in London, releasing over 120,000 tickets and is now booking until 13 February 2016. In April 2015, the United States began its two-year term as chair of the Arctic Council. In celebration of the council's significant role in protecting the Arctic, the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C., will unveil a new exhibition called “Primordial Landscapes: Iceland Revealed.” “Primordial Landscapes” combines stunning photographs with sound and lighting effects to take visitors on a memorable journey through some of Iceland's most breathtaking and mysterious natural landscapes. The 1,830-square-foot exhibition will open July 2 and be located in the Special Exhibitions Hall on the first floor of the museum. It will run through April 2017. (more...)
