Pride Films & Plays to Feature the Work of Terrence McNally This Fall

Pride Films & Plays, an international network of writers and professionals working in film and theater, announces that its next reading series will feature THE GREAT PLAYS OF TERRENCE McNALLY, a survey of his works written between 1975 and 2006. Illusion Theater Presents ALWAYS AND FOREVER, 8/22

When the first production of ALWAYS & FOREVER was on stage at Illusion Theater in 1996, it played to standing-room-only crowds for more than three months. After nearly 15 years of audience requests, Illusion Theater is pleased to announce the return of the hit musical revue, created by Richard D. Thompson, Sanford Moore and Garry Q. Lewis. Always and Forever, starring original cast members T. Mychael Rambo and Dennis Spears, will run August 22-October 3, 2010, at the Illusion's 8th floor theater, 528 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis (previews to be held Friday and Saturday, August 20-21).

Anna D. Shapiro to Receives 2010 Princess Grace Statue Award 11/10; Winners List Announced

Director Anna D. Shapiro of Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company has been awarded the 2010 Princess Grace Statue Award, The Princess Grace Foundation has announced. Shapiro previously received a Princess Grace Theater Apprenticeship in 1996.

2010 Fall for Dance Festival Comes To City Center, Runs 9/28-10/9

New York City Center's seventh annual Fall for Dance Festival, running September 28 - October 9, will showcase 20 national and international companies and choreographers. With ticket prices remaining at $10 for all seats, a night of dance is more affordable than a night at the movies. The festival will include world and U.S. premieres, and will feature several companies making their first U.S. appearances.

Wreghitt announced today that TALLEY'S FOLLY, the classic Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Lanford Wilson (Burn This, Fifth of July, Balm in Gilead) will have its first-ever Broadway revival as part of the 2010-2011 Season. The production will begin previews in spring 2011, with exact dates and a theater to be announced.
