The Peabody Award-winning Turner Classic Movies (TCM) is taking its act on the road this summer for special events with three of the country's top orchestras, including The National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Vienna, VA.

James Macdonald returns to the Almeida to direct the world premiere of Christopher Hampton's new version of Ödön von Horváth's Judgment Day. Judgment Day will run at the Almeida from 3 September - 17 October 2009, with press night on 10 September. Set designs are by Miriam Buether with costume design is by Moritz Junge, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Chris Shutt and music by Matthew Herbert.

The producers of WEST SIDE STORY have confirmed full casting for the new Broadway production.

The end of summer marks the close of the classical repertory season at The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. However, the Botanicum continues its theatrical exploration by supporting new artistic voices through its ongoing development series for playwrights, 'Botanicum Seedlings.' The program's fall playreadings are Brett Webster's Lost and Found in the Underground on Sunday, November 2 and Nude and Sunflower by Reba Waters Thomas on Sunday, November 9. Readings begin at 1 pm and admission is free.
