Hilary Knight's Stage-Struck World includes original artwork for posters, illustrations for Vanity Fair magazine (where Knight is a contributing editor), Knight's most recent work - three-dimensional portraits in stage-like settings - and costume and set designs for performances and revues that reveal that for Knight, all the world is indeed a stage.

BWW Review: ABT's THE GOLDEN COCKEREL
by Barnett Serchuk - Jun 12, 2017

I was very excited to see ABT's 'The Golden Cockerel 'on June 2, 2017. Having heard so much about it, and having read extensively about the Fokine ballet production from 1937, not to mention watching the enticing video on YouTube, I was looking forward to a very magical evening. I can't say that this promise was fulfilled, even if it did offer intermittent pleasures. But after leaving the theater following this two act extravaganza, I began to wonder what exactly it was that ABT had to offer and why they are presenting this piece, as it does not seem destined for a long life in the repertoire-or if it's just waiting to be taped for 'Great Performances' on Channel 13. Or perhaps there is nothing that could be mined from the ballet at all!

The Musicalization of Animation: How Broadway Made the Big Screen Sing
by Nicole Rosky - May 13, 2017

In 1937, Snow White advised us to whistle while we work. In 1940, Jiminy Cricket taught us the power of wishing upon a star. Sleeping Beauty walked with us once upon a dream in 1959, and in 1967, Baloo gave us life lessons in the bare necessities. The stories we remember, but it's the songs from our favorite animated movies that have left an even deeper impression.

Producer and entrepreneur, Howard Hughes, is credited with discovering many of Hollywood's golden age leading ladies, but Harlow was his first. From vintage vixens to modern movie mavens (Monroe, Mansfield, Modonna and even Lady Gaga), have all paid homage to the great Jean Harlow, who died mysteriously at the age of 26.
