The full programme has today been announced for the inaugural FRAME London Dance Film Festival. The vast programme of films and events is to take place from 9 to 12 June 2016 in Kingston-upon-Thames, London. Presented by the UK's pioneering dance company BalletBoyz in association with dancescreen, the festival is set to offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the best creative talent in dance and film to the general public, as well engaging broadcasters, video artists and choreographers. Over the three days, there are over 122 films screening with 11 World Premieres, 8 International, 4 European and 28 UK Premieres amongst the new work. These will be presented alongside classic films for all ages led by a celebration of Gene Kelly, dance performances and outdoor and family activities at various venues across the town.

Reinforcing the role of The Music Center as a major hub for dance in Los Angeles, The Music Center's powerful new dance season will engage both dance lovers and those new to the art form by challenging preconceived notions of classical ballet and exploring the realm of contemporary expression. The 2016-2017 season of Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center (Dance at The Music Center) will provide the platform for some of the finest U.S. dance companies and artists along with internationally renowned companies who are among the most requested by Music Center audiences. This coming season opens with Celebrate Forsythe (October 21-23, 2016) as three American ballet companies - San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and Houston Ballet - perform in one program in a never-before-seen approach to salute one of America's top choreographers, William Forsythe. The season continues with the distinctive contemporary work of Jessica Lang Dance (February 17-19, 2017); the return of the much-in-demand Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (March 8-12, 2017); the west coast premiere of Scottish Ballet's A Streetcar Named Desire (May 19-21, 2017); Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg's exploration of the passions of Tchaikovsky (June 23-25, 2017); and an original program curated by New York City principal ballerina Tiler Peck with the return of The Music Center's BalletNow (July 28-30, 2017). A number of the engagements will be integrated with arts education programs including high school performances and teacher workshops. The first of four works presented in this dynamic program is George Balanchine's Kammermusik No. 2, a “fascinating” and “unremitting” ballet, followed by the dazzling and technically demanding The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude by William Forsythe that returns to Boston Ballet after a critically acclaimed Company premiere last season (Brian Seibert, The New York Times). Adding to the evening's exceptional program is the graceful Pas de Quatre by unsung choreographer Leonid Yakobson, a classically romantic work noted for its “distinctive movement sensibility” (Roslyn Sulcas,The New York Times). Concluding the program is Léonide Massine's colorful Gaîté Parisienne, an effervescent ballet that evokes Moulin Rouge and Paris in the early 1900s, and ends with an unforgettable can-can. Kaleidoscope will run March 17–26, 2016 at the Boston Opera House.

SF Ballet has announced that it will return to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. with the Washington, D.C. premiere of Christopher Wheeldon's Cinderella, October 26-30. SF Ballet will present seven performances of the acclaimed, full-length production; the Company last performed at the prestigious venue in November 2012.
