National 2014 FAMILY ARTS FESTIVAL to Feature WWI Concert, Dads Dancing, Big Draw and More, Oct 17-Nov 2

Following on from the huge success of the 2013 national Family Arts Festival in which over 500,000 people took part across the UK, the 2014 Family Arts Festival will run its second year from 17 October to 2 November with Michael Morpurgo announced as patron and Center Parcs as a major new partner.

The sparkles will be flying this spring as the Metropolitan Room hosts its first 'New York's Next Top Drag Queen Contest.' The six-week affair, running five Mondays through May 6 (no show on April 8), will pit eight pre-selected drag queen artists who will be judged not by looks alone but by how well they sing and entertain. A free opening reception at the Sheldon Art Galleries will be held on Friday, April 22, from 6 - 8 p.m. Cinema St. Louis will hold a Vincentennial film festival from May 19 - May 28, 2011. Joseph V. Melillo, executive producer of the Brooklyn Academy of Music, today announced programming for the BAM 2011 Spring Season, which runs from Jan 7 through Jun 11, 2011.
