Roundabout Theatre Company recently announced that Everyday Rapture, starring Sherie Rene Scott, will open at the American Airlines Theatre in place of the indefinitely postponed Lips Together, Teeth Apart. The critically acclaimed musical by Dick Scanlan & Sherie Rene Scott is directed by Michael Mayer. Rehearsals begin today, Monday, April 5 for the World Premiere production of PARADISE FOUND, a new musical under the combined direction of Theater legend and 21-time Tony Award winner Harold Prince (the original productions of Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, The Phantom of the Opera, Company, Follies, Evita) and 5-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (Crazy For You, Show Boat, The Producers, Contact). This is their first collaboration since the landmark, Tony Award-winning revival of Show Boat. Following the New York rehearsal period, the production will open at London's acclaimed Menier Chocolate Factory with performances running May 19 through June 26.

A U.K. law firm has confirmed that screen star Kate Winslet, and her stage and screen director husband Sam Mendes have amicably separated. The pair had been married for seven years and have a son together (Winslet's daughter is from a previous marriage). According to their lawyers, the separation is 'entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement' and both Winslet and Mendes are 'fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.'

Bobby Cannavale, Paul Giamatti, and Amy Ryan will star in the upcoming 'Win Win' film that will begin primary production March 15th in New York City, Variety is reporting. Giamatti plays plays a struggling attorney who moonlights as a high school wrestling coach. All aspects of his life are thrown in the air when he becomes the legal guardian of a client whose grandson shows up on his doorstep.

The production, which began its run in November 2009 is directed by Jim Corti, with musical direction by Doug Peck. The production has been extended through April 18, 2010, at Writers' Theatre, 664 Vernon Avenue in Glencoe.
