LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & MC COY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT are thrilled to present Marilu Henner, who will be reprising her critically-acclaimed Broadway performance as Lee Green and Caroline Aaron will star as Marjorie Taub in a newly-revised version of Charles Busch's hilarious Broadway hit, THE TALE OF THE ALLERGIST'S WIFE, directed by Jeff Maynard (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee). THE TALE OF THE ALLERGIST'S WIFE will open October 1 and run through Sunday, October 17 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada. A perfect dozen of Nashville's favorite - and best-singing - actresses will claim the role of the iconic Fanny Brice in Keeping Scores Concert's upcoming Funny Girl in Concert, the inaugural production of the continuing concert series to be staged at Franklin's Boiler Room Theatre. The twelve women portraying Fanny Brice at Different Times in her life - and in the musical's various scenes -include (in alphabetical order): Nancy Allen, Erica Haines Cantrell, Joann Coleman, Lindsay Terrizzi Hess, Catherine Mai Holder, Bonnie Keen, Cori Laemmel, Alex Maddox, Corrie Miller, Sondra Morton, Laura Thomas-Sonn and Heather Trabucco. BWW Reviews: IMPRESSIONISM from Tennessee Women's Theater Project

Now onstage through March 13 at the Z. Alexander Looby Theater, in a nicely appointed production from Tennessee Women's Theater Project, Impressionism gives audiences a chance to see some fine Nashville actors in a play that is simply not up to their best efforts. Even Maryanna Clarke's focused direction and the leading performances of Holly Allen and Jeremy Childs - and a knockout supporting performance by Tamiko Robinson - are unsuccessful in making Jacobs' script more than what is: a pretentious attempt to use impressionist art to amplify the story of two characters who aren't that sympathetic and are only interesting because you have nowhere else to look.
