Nominees for the 2006 Lucille Lortel Awards have been announced

The hit Broadway musical, JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, which has taken Broadway by storm, will launch a National Tour in San Francisco beginning in December, 2006. JERSEY BOYS, which opened to rave reviews on November 6, 2005, continues to set new weekly box office records at the August Wilson Theatre and has been among the top grossing shows on Broadway ever since.

The 5th Avenue Musical Theatre Company's high-profile 2006-2007 season will include several touring shows, some classic musicals and one world premiere, Broadway-bound musical.

Casting has been completed for the new Broadway-bound musical Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me. Joining the Tony award-winning star are Brooks Ashmanskas, Mary Birdsong, Capathia Jenkins and Nicole Parker.

Plays by Bruce Norris, Tanya Barfield, David Cale, Richard Nelson and A.R. Gurney will be presented as part of Playwrights Horizons' 2006-2007 season

Variety reports that 'Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me' will open at a TBA Shubert theatre on August 10, 2006.

Monty Python's SPAMALOT, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 2005, comes home to London in October 2006. SPAMALOT will have its first performance at the Palace Theatre in London's West End on 2 October 2006. Casting will be announced shortly and tickets will go on sale on 21 February 2006.
