Based on the true story of conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton who became stars during the Depression, Side Show is a moving portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bondage brings them fame but denies them love. The original 1997 Broadway production of Side Show was directed by Robert Longbottom and received four Tony® nominations, including a shared nomination for co-stars Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner, the only time in Tony history where two people were co-nominated for the Best Actress Award.

The 2009 Regional Theatre Tony Award winning-Signature Theatre presents the world premiere theater event First You Dream': The Music of Kander & Ebb, September 10 through 27, 2009. A tribute to Broadway's most celebrated songwriting partnership - from Cabaret to Chicago to Curtains - Signature pulls out the stops with Broadway's Heidi Blickenstaff, James Clow, Norm Lewis, Julia Murney, Matthew Scott, and Eleasha Gamble and a 19-piece orchestra, plus staging and set design by Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer and choreography by Karma Camp.
Due to continued sold out performances and strong critical acclaim, P.S. 122 and The Amoralists will once again extend The Pied Pipers of the Lower East Side. The show began a summer extension on July 30 that was to run through August 17 at P.S. 122 (150 1st Avenue) in NYC.
It was announced earlier this month that the new musical VANITIES will receive an original cast album. The three-woman cast of the show, which recently performed its New York premiere Off-Broadway at Second Stage Theatre, headed into studio yesterday to record the album for Sh-K-Boom Records.

Composer and performer Jeremy X. Halpern has been cast as Mark Twain's pre-show 'Mysterious Stranger' in Adam Klasfeld's The Report of My Death. Halpern and his band, Jeremy X. and the Weirdos TV Band will also play post-show concerts on the Lighthouse Tender ship, the Lilac, moored on Pier 40 at West Houston Street and West Street in Manhattan.
The Marjorie S. Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presents the first new Broadway production of Bye Bye Birdie, after a 48 year absence, as the inaugural production of the new Henry Miller's Theatre (124 West 43rd Street) beginning Thursday, September 10th, 2009 with an official opening on Thursday, October 15th, 2009. This will be a limited engagement through January 10th, 2010.
Three generations of Guthrie actors reunite for J.B. Priestley's rollicking comedy When We Are Married. With musical staging by Dan Knechtges, VANITIES will feature Lauren Kennedy, Sarah Stiles, and Anneliese van der Pol and will begin preview performances on Thursday, July 2.
Opening night is Thursday, July 16 at 6:30pm

P.S. 122 and The Amoralists present a return engagement of The Pied Pipers of the Lower East Side, written and directed by Derek Ahonen. The Pied Pipers of the Lower East Side runs from June 5th to 28th, 2009 at Performance Space 122 (downstairs), located at 150 1st Avenue (at East 9th Street) in NYC. Official opening is June 5th.
Variety reports that the Broadway-bound musical MEMPHIS has nabbed the Shubert Theater for its fall run, with a group sales announcement indicating the show will begin previews on September 23rd, 2009. The official announcement about a theatre location or for exact preview and opening dates has been made as of yet.
