This fall, four great actors return to Broadway in two great plays, performed in repertory. Ian McKellen, Patricku Stewart, Billy Crudup and Shuler Hensley star in Harold Pinter's comedy NO MAN'S LAND and Samuel Beckett's classic WAITING FOR GODOT. Sean Mathias' productions present a startling new look at these two theatrical masterpieces.

Today in 1957 Waiting for Godot opened at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, where it ran for 6 performances. An absurdist play by Samuel Beckett, it revolves around two characters, Vladimir and Estragon, who wait endlessly and in vain for someone named Godot to arrive. Godot's absence, as well as numerous other aspects of the play, have led to many different interpretations since the play's premiere. Since its US premiere in 1956, several notable revivals have been produced, including the 1988 production featuring Robin Williams and Steve Martin, and the 2009 revival starring Nathan Lane and Bill Irwin.

Gate Theatre Dublin's production of "Krapp's Last Tape" by Samuel Beckett, performed by John Hurt and directed by Michael Colgan, opened at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre on October 10, and runs through November 4, 2012. ENDGAME-led by two-time Tony Award winner and A.C.T. associate artist Bill Irwin-charts a day in the life of the wheelchair-bound Hamm and his servant, Clov , who exist in a mutually dependent and fractious relationship with only Hamm's ashbin-bound parents, Nagg and Nell, for company.
