Silva Screen Records will release the Original London Cast Soundtrack for ELF on October 23, featuring Ben Forster, Kimberley Walsh, Joe McGann and Jessica Martin. The London premiere of the musical ELF is based on the 2003 New Line Cinema hit starring Will Ferrell. The London premiere of the smash hit musical ELF is led by Ben Forster as Buddy, Kimberley Walsh as Jovie, Joe McGann as Walter Hobbs and Jessica Martin as Emily Hobbs, with Jennie Dale as Deb, Mark McKerracher as Santa and Graham Lappin as Store Manager. ELF will run at London's Dominion Theatre for a strictly limited 10-week season from 24 October 2015 to 2 January 2016. Art Directors Guild Announces 2016 Lifetime Honoree

Oscar-winning and Emmy-nominated Production Designer Patrizia von Brandenstein will receive the Art Directors Guild's Lifetime Achievement Award at the 20th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards on January 31, 2016 at a black-tie ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The announcement was made today by Marcia Hinds, ADG Council Chair, and James Pearse Connelly, ADG Award's Producer.

Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director) has announced that their annual Gala will take place Monday, November 16, 2015 at 583 Park Avenue. The event will celebrate the company and honor Tony and Grammy-winning composer and lyricists Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. The evening will feature musical numbers from Hairspray, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Catch Me If You Can, and the TV show 'Smash' and tributes and performances by Tony winner Christian Borle (Something Rotten, 'Smash'), Obie winner Bridget Everett (Rock Bottom, Jukebox Jackie), Annie Golden (Violet, 'Orange is the New Black'), Tony winner Nathan Lane (The Producers, Dedication or the Stuff of Dreams at Primary Stages), Aaron Tveit (Catch Me If You Can, Next to Normal), and other surprise guests.

In the season 2 opener last week, I spent a lot of time discussing the renewed characterizations of Phil and Carol, and their new relationship. I'm glad I did that, because in this second episode, THE LAST MAN ON EARTH further explores these relationships, returning the show back to the equilibrium reached at the end of season 1.
