Musical Theatre West presents the third production of their 61st season, the West Coast Premiere of S'WONDERFUL: The New Gershwin Musical, created and directed by Ray Roderick, musicaldirection by Bret Simmons with choreography by Charlie Williams. S'WONDERFUL will preview on Friday, April 4, open on Saturday, April 5 and perform for three weeks only through Sunday, April 20 at The Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center, located at 6200 Atherton St., Long Beach on the campus of California State University, Long Beach.

High school sweet hearts and parents of two take on 'Love Is An Open Door' from Disney's hit animated film FROZEN.

Jennifer Kranz, a senior at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles majoring in Theatre and minoring in Musical Theatre, emerged victorious Sunday, February 16th as LA's Next Great Stage Star® 2014 produced and presented by Sterling's Upstairs at The Federal, the most critically acclaimed concert supper club in the greater Los Angeles area.

Wells Fargo Center for the Arts and the Santa Rosa Symphony celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Symphony Pops Series. Led by Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz, the 10th anniversary season will be comprised of four Sunday afternoon performances featuring a star-studded collection of music with tributes to Marvin Hamlisch, Barbra Streisand, ABBA, John Williams, and songs of holiday cheer at the Ruth Finley Person Theater at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts (50 Mark West Springs Road, Santa Rosa). The Los Angeles Master Chorale (LAMC), heralded around the globe for its exceptional artistry and wide ranging repertoire, showcases 'Minimalist Masterworks,' featuring works by celebrated American composers Steve Reich and David Lang, on Sunday, April 6, 2014, 7 pm, at Walt Disney Concert Hall. The concert opens with Perotin's Sederunt principes featuring tenor soloists Pablo Cora, Michael Lichtenauer and Shawn Kirchner. The Chorale then reprises Reich's You Are (Variations), commissioned, premiered and recorded by the Chorale in 2004 (Nonesuch), and Lang's Pulitzer Prize-winning the little match girl passion, of which LAMC presented an extended choral version last season hailed as 'a performance to remember' (Outwest Arts). ListenUp!, a pre-concert talk with Gershon and KUSC's Alan Chapman, is slated for 6 pm, in BP Hall. The concert is part of the second installment of the Los Angeles Philharmonic's citywide, multi-disciplinary Minimalist Jukebox Festival, curated by composer John Adams.

In one of its final performances as a full-time dance company, the Boise-based Trey McIntyre Project (TMP) will present the Harris Theater-commissioned Chicago premiere of The Vinegar Works: Four Dances of Moral Instruction. The performance on Thursday, April 3 at 7:30PM will include live musical accompaniment from the young stars of the Music Institute of Chicago. This exciting work, organized and led by the Harris Theater, pairs one of the city's finest cultural institutions with one of the country's foremost contemporary dance ensembles. The commission centers on the Theater's mission to collaborate with, and present, Chicago's midsize and emerging arts organizations in innovative ways.

Anne Sweeney, who oversaw 18 years of tremendous growth and success of Disney's global entertainment and news properties and who helped shepherd the television industry into the digital age, today announced that she would be departing The Walt Disney Company [NYSE: DIS] in January of 2015 to pursue a career in Television Directing. Sweeney, who joined the company in 1996, is currently co-chair, Disney Media Networks and president, Disney/ABC Television Group.

Tom Bergeron has announced that will be leaving the long running ABC series America's Funniest Home Videos at the close of the series' next season. Bergeron has hosted the show since 2001.
