Never has there been a city so rich in the history of music that it exudes creativity at every turn. For more than 130 years, Nashville, Tennessee has been known as the world's Music City. Now, in the documentary “For the Love of Music: The Story of Nashville,” the story behind the Nashville music scene is told through the eyes of many of the musicians, songwriters, producers and artists who live and breathe its inspiration, airing SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3 (3:00-4:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

New Holiday Concerts Announced at Schermerhorn Symphony Center

Schermerhorn Symphony Center announces its holiday offerings for December, with a just-added concert featuring R&B superstar KEM on Sunday, December 22. Due to popular demand, a fourth show has also been added for the Nashville Symphony's Christmas concert with Amy Grant and Vince Gill. Tickets to both concerts go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, October 18, available at NashvilleSymphony.org, at the Schermerhorn box office or at 615.687.6400.

Ricky Skaggs Selected as 2013 Artist-In-Residence at Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

It was announced last Saturday evening, from the stage of the Ryman Auditorium, that Ricky Skaggs will be the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's 2013 Artist-in-Residence. Skaggs will present two intimate evening performances on November 18 and 19, at 7:00 p.m. The concerts will be the museum's first public programs in the new CMA Theater.

Tonight, October 4, 2013, The New York Pops orchestra will launch its 31st Season at Carnegie Hall with An Evening with Chris Botti. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke will lead the orchestra in a highly-anticipated opening with America's largest-selling instrumental artist, trumpeter Chris Botti. The performance will include selections such as Chopin's 'Prelude in C Minor,' 'Emmanuel,' and 'When I Fall in Love' from his recent Grammy Award-winning album Impressions, as well as other popular favorites, at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage.
