Weekend movie box office estimates: April 29-May 1, 2011.

Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, 13, The Last Five Years, Songs for a New World) and Tony Award-winning stage and screen star Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls) and The Caucasian Rhythm Kings begin a special three-night concert engagement tonight at the Henry Street Settlement - Abrons Arts Center (466 Grand at Pitt). The concerts will also be filmed for future broadcast on PBS.

Production begins April 27 in Chicago on 'Boss,' an original dramatic series from STARZ and Lionsgate Television, starring TV icon Kelsey Grammer and with its first episode directed by acclaimed filmmaker Gus Van Sant in his TV helming debut. Over its eight-episode season, the show centers on the Machiavellian machinations of a fictional Chicago mayor with a dark secret and is set to premiere exclusively on STARZ in October 2011.

Steve Martin, Martin Short, Seth Meyers, Ron White, Rodney Carrington and Jo Koy are among the comedy heavyweights joining the spectacular lineup for the third annual edition of TWIX(R) PRESENTS: TBS JUST FOR LAUGHS CHICAGO. In addition, Hannibal Buress, Kumail Nanjiani, Kristen Schaal and Paul F. Tompkins will perform as Demetri Martin's special guests (who are also comedians and friends of his).

According to Deadline.com, Tyler Perry is set to direct, write, and star in Lionsgate's GOOD DEEDS movie. THe film will begin shooting in Atlanta at the end of the month. As described by Deadline, Perry will play 'Glen Deeds, a successful entrepreneur who is about to get married but falls for a down-on-her-luck single mom.'

The Cincinnati Pops brings its signature sound outside of Music Hall for what is sure to be an explosive 2011 season at Riverbend Music Center, presented by the Pops Series Sponsor PNC. AMC and Lionsgate today announced the return of the iconic series 'Mad Men' for seasons five and six with series creator Matthew Weiner back on board as showrunner. Concurrently, it was announced that Weiner has signed a new long-term deal with Lionsgate, extending into a possible seventh season. The announcements were made by Charlie Collier, president of AMC, and Kevin Beggs, president of Lionsgate Television Group.
