Pay-What-You-Will Performances Announced at Syracuse Stage

Syracuse Stage, Central New York's premiere professional theatre, will host one pay-what-you-will performance for each show in its 2017/2018 season. There will be 76 tickets available for whatever price patrons wish to pay. The first three pay-what-you-will performances are on the following dates:

Celebrating the life and music of Nina Simone, one of America's most iconic singers and civil rights activists, Christina Ham's provocative musical journey Nina Simone: Four Women makes its East Coast debut at Arena Stage. Set in the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, in which four little girls lost their lives in 1963, Ham uses Simone's song 'Four Women' as the framework to explore the songstress' shift from artist to artist-activist.
THE THREE MUSKETEERS Brings Fun for All to Syracuse Stage

Artistic director Bob Hupp makes his directorial debut as Syracuse Stage opens the 17/18 season with the swashbuckling adventure "The Three Musketeers". This action-packed adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' 1844 classic novel opens Friday, Sept. 22 in the Archbold Theatre at the Syracuse Stage/SU Drama Complex, 820 E. Genesee St. There will be preview performances Wednesday, Sept. 20 and Thursday, Sept. 21.

Bill Werde Named Director of Bandier Program

Award-winning media professional Bill Werde has been named director of the Bandier Program for Music Business and the Entertainment Industries at Syracuse University. The program, established in 2006 and made possible through a generous gift from music industry executive Martin Bandier '62, is part of SU's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
