Renée Fleming and Susan Graham Perform at Walt Disney Hall Tonight

Renée Fleming and Susan Graham, two of the world's most foremost stars of opera, join together at Walt Disney Concert Hall for a recital of French duets, tonight, January 19, at 8 pm. Accompanied by pianist Bradley Moore, the two powerhouse vocalists take the audience on a comprehensive survey of French song literature from the 19th century, featuring eight composers ranging from the arch-Romantic Hector Berlioz to the late-century Reynaldo Hahn and André Messager, and including rarely performed French duet literature from Debussy and Fauré. This LA Phil Colburn Celebrity Recital event is presented in partnership with the LA Opera.

Promising young opera singers from across the Gulf Coast will compete for the chance to perform on one of the world's most prestigious stages at the Metropolitan Opera National Council District and Regional Auditions today, Jan. 5 and the 6th at Loyola University New Orleans. The winner of the regional auditions will advance to the national semi-final round, held in March on the Metropolitan Opera Stage in New York City.

The Metropolitan Opera offers a rare opportunity to witness Hector Berlioz's vast epic opera, last performed at the Met in 2003. Les Troyens will be simulcast live on the Peterborough Players big screen on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at noon. This is the 7th production in The Met: Live in HD's 2012-13 season. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students.

In his place, American tenor Bryan Hymel will make his Met debut, singing the role tonight, December 26, December 29 matinee, January 1, and January 5 matinee (the date of the global HD transmission).

Works & Process at the Guggenheim has announced its spring 2013 season. Each intimate, 80-minute performance uniquely combines artistic creation and stimulating conversation and takes place in the Guggenheim's Frank Lloyd Wright-designed, 285-seat Peter B.
