TNT's Ratings Hot Streak Continues with 7.4 Million Viewers for THE LAST SHIP

TNT continued its ratings hot streak last night with the premiere of the action-adventure series The Last Ship and the return of the epic alien-invasion drama Falling Skies. The Last Ship launched with a total of 7.4 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery for its 9 p.m. premiere and 11 p.m. encore, while Falling Skies landed a total of 4.7 million viewers for its 10 p.m. season premiere and midnight encore. The Last Ship, which garnered 5.3 million viewers at 9 p.m., now ranks as cable's #1 series launch for the year-to-date. With 3.7 million viewers for its 10 p.m. premiere, Falling Skies has joined TNT's Rizzoli & Isles, The Last Ship, Major Crimes and Murder in the First in giving the network five of cable's Top 6 scripted season premieres for the year-to-date in Live + Same Day delivery.

Astoria, New York, June 18, 2014—Museum of the Moving Image announces its major film series and exhibitions for the summer. Highlights include a new exhibition and accompanying film series exploring the work of the legendary animation director Chuck Jones(opening July 19), films by Gustav Deutsch (July 25–27), See It Big! Hollywood Melodrama (August 2–31), films by Hong Kong producer, director, and actor Patrick Lung Kong, with Lung Kong and Tsui Hark in person (August 15–24), and a complete retrospective of Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao-hsien (beginning September 12). In preparation for his performance in a new production of The Importance of Being Earnest, Nigel Havers gave a complete rendition of the script reading from a specially printed first edition. An audience assembled in room 118 of The Cadogan Hotel, where Oscar Wilde was infamously arrested on the grounds of gross indecency in 1895, to hear Havers' touching and emotional performance. Mary McCartney was present to photograph the event and following the reading the audience retired to the dining room at The Cadogan Hotel for cucumber sandwiches.

Zu Beginn des neuen Jahres bringt die Staatsoperette Dresden die Deutsche Erstauffuhrung des jungen Musicals „Catch Me If You Can' heraus, das die wahre, abenteuerliche Geschichte des Hochstaplers Frank W. Abagnale erzahlt. Basierend auf dem gleichnamigen Film mit Hollywood-Star Leonardo DiCaprio, erlebte das Musical 2011 seine Urauffuhrung am Broadway. Die Staatsoperette Dresden prasentiert „Catch Me If You Can' in Co-Produktion mit der BB Group GmbH und dem Theater in der Josefstadt. Regie wird Werner So- botka fuhren, von dem auch die deutsche Fassung stammt.

WAR HORSE Concludes North American Tour this Summer

The North American touring production of WAR HORSE will conclude this summer as the highest grossing and most attended touring non-musical play in US history, recouping its investment in the process. The tour, which opened in June 2012 at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, has been seen by over 1.1 million audience members to date and, by its conclusion, will have played 68 engagements and 749 performances. The tour's final stop will be a four-week run at Tokyo's Theatre Orb, marking the play's Asian debut.
