The Daryl Roth D-Lounge will host The BREASTival: A Gift-Raiser of Oncologic Proportions on Monday, December 13, 2010. The BREASTival is a fundraiser for singer/songwriter Mimi Ferraro's medical expenses following a breast cancer diagnosis in 2006. While her prognosis is excellent, her financial situation is not. In order to continue on her path as a working actor, she is asking for the help of her community to raise money to offset these medical costs.

On Monday, October 25th, New York Theatre Barn will present its monthly showcase for emerging writers and performers at the D-Lounge at the Daryl Roth Theater, which will feature the music of Timothy Huang and duo Eli Bolin and Sam Forman as well as performances from Broadway's Carly Jibson (Cry Baby, Hairspray) and Jared Gertner (Spelling Bee).

The Institute of Visual Arts (Inova) at the UWM Peck School of the Arts opens an exhibition of work by the artists who received the Greater Milwaukee Foundation's Mary L. Nohl Fund Fellowships for Individual Artists in 2009. The Nohl Fellowship exhibition opens on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Inova/Kenilworth, 2155 N. Prospect Ave. It brings together work by two artists selected in the Established Artist category: Peter Barrickman and Harvey Opgenorth; and two artists selected in the Emerging Artist category: Kim Miller and John Riepenhoff. For the first time in the history of the Nohl Fellowship program, the exhibition will also include several works that are the result of a year-long collaboration among the artists.
