After more than two decades of exciting contribution to the New York musical scene, The Mabel Mercer Foundation hits a new high this autumn by producing its 25th annual New York Cabaret Convention for four evenings, October 20th-23rd. All performances begin at 6 o'clock at the Rose Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Frederick P. Rose Hall at Broadway and 60th Street.

Kevin Mahogany to headline the 3rd annual South Bend Jazz Festival, Saturday, August 16th from 4:00 p.m till 11:00 p.m; in front of the Morris Performing Arts Center. Free to the Public! Featuring Six international acts from a Variety of Jazz genres.

Tonight, April 5, 2014 at 8pm, celebrated chanteuse Spider Saloff will present Berlin In Swingtime, a rare performance that explores the life and songs of Irving Berling, with Chicago's Jeremy Kahn at the piano. The performance is presented in partnership with KMP Artists and UChicago Arts at Logan Center's Performance Penthouse.

On Tuesday December 3 sublime singer Spider Saloff appeared at Rockwell Table and Stage for an evening of Cool Yule accompanied by electric jazz pianist Richard Eames. I say sublime, as there are a rare few like Saloff who can really sing, wrapping their heart around the lyrics of a song and then delivering it as if they had never told the story before. It takes an actress to sing well, and Saloff has everything it takes. Like Garland, she's one of the best.

Among her 6 concert offerings, Spider Saloff's, 'The Memory of All That' is one of the rare, officially sanctioned acts of the Gershwin Centennial. Her other shows also celebrate many of the writers of the American songbook and some original material.

Actress/singer Spider Saloff will appear at Rockwell in Hollywood December 3 with her award-winning Cool Yule Christmas show. A big hit artist on the jazz/cabaret scene in Chicago, Saloff is considered one of the greatest song interpreters of Ella Fitzgerald. In our talk, she discusses her roots and her love of music.

Tonight, June 24 The Three Ellas, a veteran female vocal jazz trio, and 11-year-old newcomer Mae Ya Carter Ryan, will perform a brilliant jazz repertoire. All net proceeds from the event will subsidize Merit's music education programs.
