The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival has announced American theater director, educator, and arts leader Michael Kahn as the recipient of the Festival's first-ever TENN Award.

For two glittering weekends at the end of May, the world turns its attention to the movie event of the year: TheCaan Film Festival at Museum of the Moving Image. In celebration of the Bronx-born, Sunnyside-raised, and Sanford Meisner-instructed actor, the film series revisits twelve of James Caan's greatest performances, from May 19 through 28, with nearly all films presented in 35mm. The films feature performances for such great directors as Francis Ford Coppola, Howard Hawks, Michael Mann, Sam Peckinpah, Mark Rydell, Norman Jewison, Wes Anderson, and James Gray.

The renowned Frog & Peach Theatre Company's  Winter 2017 season production of  Macbeth, Shakespeare's  most terrifying tale of blood, war and witchcraft, will end its scheduled four week engagement at NYC's Sheen Center Black Box Theater on Sunday, February 12, There are only six performances left on Saturday, Feb 4 at 7:30 PM, Sunday, Feb 5, at 3 PM, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb 9, 10 and 11 at 7 PM and Sunday, Feb 12, at 3 PM. L.I.P. Service is thrilled to announce their production of Edward Albee's The Goat or, Who is Sylvia? Directed by Shawn Gann and starring Van Quattro, *Morgana Shaw, Garrett Reeves, and Jason Leyva. The performance will premiere at The Rudy Seppy Studio on May 26 at 8:00pm. It will run through June 11 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

The Whipping Man by Matthew Lopez opens tonight, January 23, 2015 at George Street Playhouse. The production runs through February 15, 2015 Directed by Seret Scott, the cast features Ron Canada, Luke Forbes and Adam Gerber.

MEMPHIS stars Lakeisha Renee Houston and Brandon Fleming are recipients of the first SELVIN CHARITABLE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP. Harry and Maureen Selvin, longtime patrons of the arts and supporters of Cabrillo Music Theatre, have developed this scholarship, to be presented on the final performance of each Cabrillo Music Theatre production, to the performer in that Cabrillo show that best exemplifies the spirit of Cabrillo Music Theatre. At the November 23rd performance of MEMPHIS, Houston and Fleming each receive a $500 cash scholarship, a personal trophy, and name recognition on a permanent plaque of all those recognized, to reside in the Cabrillo Music Theatre office.

Celebrating its 20th Season, Frog & Peach Theatre Company is currently presenting William Shakespeare's most deranged tragedy TITUS ANDRONICUS starring TV and Broadway actor Greg Mullavey (TV: Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, Nickelodeon's iCarly; Broadway: Romantic Comedy opposite Mia Farrow, Neil Simon's Rumors; and The Soap Myth with Roundabout Theater Company). The production runs through November 2 at The West End Theatre (263 W 86th St).
