Asolo Rep continues its winter rep season and the fifth and final year of its American Character Project with THE ORIGINALIST, Charles MacArthur Award-winner John Strand's gripping political masterpiece that spotlights the late polarizing judicial titan, Justice Antonin Scalia.

This winter, The 5th Avenue Theatre will have Seattle adjusting its radiators with a steaming hot new production of the Richard Adler and Jerry Ross musical theater hit, The Pajama Game. With direction by 5th Avenue Theatre Producing Artistic Director Bill Berry, this sultry stunner features Bob Fosse-inspired choreography by Bob Richard and music direction by Joel Fram.

Charlotte Cohn, co-producers Brierpatch Productions, Neil Gooding Productions and SCS Innovations, LLC, in association with NewYorkRep and The Telling Company, will present the New York Premiere of Jason Odell Williams' critically acclaimed play Church & State.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the West Coast premiere of Hand to God written by Robert Askins and directed by David Ivers. The Broadway smash hit and Tony Award-nominated play begins previews on Friday, February 3, and the show runs through Sunday, March 19. Written and first presented two decades ago, FULLY COMMITTED was revised and revived in New York recently with Broadway veteran and one of the costars of TV comedy hit 'Modern Family,' Jesse Tyler Ferguson. This brought enough interest in the show to warrant additional productions and Carolyn Griffin, artistic leader of MetroStage thought it was the perfect vehicle for two of the DC areas hardest working artists: Tom Story and Alan Paul.

Primary Stages has announced complete casting today for the New York premiere of FADE, written by Tanya Saracho (Mala Hierba) and directed by Jerry Ruiz (Basilica).

Pioneer Theatre Company presents Fences, the critically renowned play by August Wilson. The timeless drama about fathers and sons runs January 6 to January 21, 2017.

Yale Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere of IMOGEN SAYS NOTHING by Aditi Brennan Kapil, directed by Laurie Woolery, at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street), January 20-February 11. Opening Night is Thursday, January 26.

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has announced its first major grant funding round of fiscal year 2017, which includes a $20,000 grant supporting a co-production of The Secret Garden, created in partnership between Seattle's The 5th Avenue Theatre and Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C. The critically acclaimed production directed by 5th Avenue Theatre Executive Producer and Artistic Director David Armstrong, has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike, and recently announced an extension through January 8 for its current presentation in D.C. The Secret Garden will excite audiences at home in the Emerald City April 14-May 6. 

The Washington Stage Guild starts its 'Pearl Anniversary' season with a remount of one of America's favorite holiday stories in It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. It's Christmas Eve, 1946, and we are the studio audience for a local radio station as its cast of voice actors and one very busy sound effects man broadcast the beloved tale of George Bailey and his encounter with Clarence, his guardian angel. This 'radio play-within-a-play' re-imagines the familiar movie as it would have been heard in homes all over America in the late 40s, when just such a broadcast took place. Playwright

Producers Whistle Pig, Columbia Live Stage, and The Dodgers, with Michael Watt, are pleased to announce casting for the Broadway premiere of Groundhog Day, the new musical featuring music and lyrics by Tim Minchin and a book by Danny Rubin, and directed by Matthew Warchus.

The Kentucky Center announced today that Michael Porto has been named Senior Director of Marketing & Communications. Porto will be responsible for the creation and oversight of the Center's brand position as a leader in the local and regional arts and cultural community.

Quintessence Theatre Group continues it's tradition of holiday classics for the whole family with Oscar Wilde's Wilde Tales. Classic Stage Company will present the comedy THE LIAR by David Ives, adapted from the play Le Menteur by Pierre Corneille, and directed by Michael Kahn, beginning previews Wednesday, January 11 at CSC (136 East 13th Street).  THE LIAR will have its official press opening Thursday, January 26 and play a limited engagement through Sunday, February 26.
