Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces the cast and creative team for the U.S. premiere of Ride the Cyclone, a new musical with a refreshingly offbeat twist from Brooke Maxwell and Jacob Richmond, directed and choreographed by multiple Jeff Award-winner Rachel Rockwell. Originating as a cult classic cabaret piece in Canada, this dark musical comedy is being further developed with Chicago Shakespeare Creative Producer Rick Boynton for its highly anticipated American debut, presented in the theater Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare, September 29-November 8, 2015.
All-Chicago Cast Set for PETER AND THE STARCATCHER at Drury Lane Theatre

Drury Lane has announced the cast and creative team for the regional premiere of the Tony-nominated Peter and the Starcatcher, directed by Jeff Award-winner and Drury Lane Artistic Director William Osetek. Hailed as "astonishing" (The New Yorker) and "an absurdly funny fantastical journey," (Entertainment Weekly), Peter and the Starcatcher answers the question of how Peter Pan became "The Boy Who Never Grew Up." Complete with an all-Chicago cast, a company of twelve actors portray over one hundred characters throughout this captivating coming-of-age tale of one of literature's most beloved stories. Peter and the Starcatcher, with a book by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson and based on the 2004 play by Rick Elice, runs August 27 - October 18, 2015. Opening Night is set for Thursday, September 3 at 8pm.

One possible set of answers is very entertainingly explored in in Mr. Burns, a post-electric play, by Anne Washburn with score by Michael Friedman, beginning its 6-week regional premiere tonight, August 6 at Stage West.

THE RAILWAY CHILDREN Extends Into 2016 at King's Cross Theatre

The Olivier Award-winning production of Mike Kenny's stage adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel The Railway Children - Live on Stage will be extending its run at King's Cross Theatre until Sunday 3 January 2016. Originally planned to close on 6 September, the production will run for an extra four months due to popular demand. Tickets for the new period will go on sale at 10.00am on Friday 10 July.
