Two-time Tony Award nominee Gavin Creel will star as Elder Price in the First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, the production announced today. THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony®Awards including Best Musical, will launch the First National Tour in Denver from August 14-September 2 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Additional casting will be announced soon.

USA moves into Upfront Week for the first time with the biggest and most spectacular event yet with performances by Oscar and Grammy Award-winner Jennifer Hudson and world-renowned DJ and Grammy Award- winner Mark Ronson. Long Wharf Theatre is uniting with the Public Theater in New York to produce February House, a new musical featuring the music of up-and-comer Gabriel Kahane. The musical will bow on Stage II February 15 through March 18. The press opening is Wednesday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $45-$65.

Rufus Wainwright is readying his plans for the release of his seventh studio album, Out of the Game, available May 1st on Decca. The Mark Ronson-produced album will be supported with appearances around the world, including select U.S. live concerts confirmed for May.

The winners of the 41st annual George London Foundation Awards Competition for young American and Canadian opera singers were announced at the conclusion of the competition's final round this evening, which took place in a front of a capacity audience at Gilder Lehrman Hall at The Morgan Library & Museum in New York City.

New York City Opera kicks off a new year and a new era of city-wide productions with LA TRAVIATA at the Brooklyn Academy of Music from Feb. 12-18. The Jonathan Miller production of Verdi's masterpiece is the season's first NYC Opera staging at BAM, and is followed by the US premiere performances of Rufus Wainwright's Prima Donna from Feb. 19-25. As a gift to the City of New York, The Reed Foundation and The Peter Jay Sharp Foundation have bought the remaining seats for all NYC Opera performances at BAM and will offer these seats at a special $25 price to celebrate NYC Opera's new beginning.

In the second production of its current season, New York City Opera presents the U.S. premiere of Prima Donna, the first opera by Juno Award-winning, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright. Opening on Sunday, February 19 at 1:30 PM, the work will be given three additional evening performances on February 21, 23 and 25 at 7:30pm, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Howard Gilman Opera House.
