Greenhouse Theater Center is pleased to continue its Solo Celebration! Series with the world premiere of Brett Neveu's haunting drama HER AMERICA (formerly titled MISS AMERICA), starring veteran Chicago and Broadway actress Kate Buddeke and directed by Linda Gillum. HER AMERICA will play January 6 - February 12, 2017 at The Greenhouse Theater Center (Downstairs Mainstage), 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. Crowded Fire's Artistic Director Mina Morita unveiled the 2017 mainstage season lineup including two contemporary plays that continue to uphold the company's long tradition of producing boundary - pushing, thought-provoking theater. At a season-announcement party on Saturday, November 19th Morita addressed Crowded Fire donors, patrons, and artists saying "We are a divided country in the midst of a divisive time. It is more important now, more than ever to use our creative and critical thought to mine our cultural memory and to interrogate our existence. I am thrilled to present selections next season that do just that."

'Adler & Gibb' by Tim Crouch, directed by Tim Crouch, Andy Smith and Karl James, will run in a Center Theatre Group co-commission with the Royal Court Theatre in its American Premiere this January.

Victory Gardens Theater continues its 42st season with the world premiere of Roz and Ray, written by Karen Hartman and directed by Artistic Director Chay Yew. Roz and Ray features Mary Beth Fisher (Roz) and James Vincent Meredith (Ray). This World Premiere runs tonight, November 11, through December 11, 2016, with the press performance today, November 18, 2016, at 7:30 pm at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

Transferring from its critically acclaimed sell-out run at the Finborough Theatre earlier this year where it was nominated for seven OffWestEnd Awards including Best New Play, Best Male Performance, and Best Director, the world premiere production of It Is Easy To Be Dead by Neil McPherson opens at Trafalgar Studio 2, for a strictly limited four week limited season.

Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres Robert Hastie today announces his inaugural season. The new season opens with Hastie directing William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar bringing Shakespeare back to the Crucible; this will be followed in the Studio by the winner of the new annual RTST Director Award Scheme Kate Hewitt directing the regional premiere of Nina Raine's Tribes.  

The third University Women in the Arts public event has been announced. Taking place tonight, November 9th, at 6pm, this will be an In Conversation event with Anne Edyvean, Head of BBC Writersroom, the BBC's new writing department.

Still Game's Scott Reid is to star as Christopher Boone in The National Theatre's production of the Olivier award-winning The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time when it returns to the King's in August next year as part of a major UK and Ireland opening at the Lowry in Salford on 21 January.

The world premiere of The Wolves, Sarah DeLappe's debut play, was met with widespread critical acclaim and sold-out houses when it opened on September 11 of this year. In response to popular demand, The Playwrights Realm, by arrangement with Scott Rudin and Eli Bush, will present a limited, encore engagement of the production from November 29-December 24. General tickets for The Wolves go on sale today, November 3, 2016.

In a production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, and rediscovering one of the West End's most popular dramatists of the 1930s and 1940s, Dr Angelus by James Bridie starring David Rintoul and Malcolm Rennie plays at the acclaimed Finborough Theatre on Sunday and Monday evenings and Tuesday matinees from Sunday, 27 November 2016 (Press Night: Monday, 28 November 2016 at 7.30pm).
