San Francisco Ballet to Open Lincoln Center's Film Series This Fall

San Francisco Ballet kicks off the new cinema series, Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance, with Artistic Director & Principal Choreographer Helgi Tomasson's Romeo & Juliet on September 24 at 7:00pm. Shown at select cinemas nationwide, the screenings will feature the full production in HD, along with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews. SF Ballet Principal Dancers Maria Kochetkova and Davit Karapetyan perform the title roles of Juliet and Romeo, with Company Principal Dancers Pascal Molat, Joseph Walsh, and Luke Ingham performing the roles of Mercutio, Benvolio, and Tybalt, respectively.
ROMEO & JULIET to Play Theatre Royal Glasgow

The Globe's award-winning small-scale touring programme will tour for the first time to the Theatre Royal Glasgow from Tuesday 4 until Saturday 8 August with a brand new production of Romeo & Juliet. It will be the last touring show at Shakespeare's Globe which will be directed by Artists Director Dominic Dromgoole, supported by the young director Tim Hoare. Romeo & Juliet is a fresh and new exploration of Shakespeare's greatest love story. The play opened at the Clwyd Theatr Cymru and will continue to tour around the UK and Europe before making its journey across the pond to the US.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company to Present Three FAIR VERONA FESTIVALS This Month

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, in collaboration with the Boys & Girls Clubs, will present three Fair Verona Festivals, free open-air, family-friendly community arts days, on July 10, 11 and 17. Each festival will feature workshops and performances by local artists in dance, music, visual artists plus a performance of CSC2's Romeo & Juliet, which recently performed for a week at Boston's Historic Strand Theater.

New York City Ballet Promotes Three Dancers

New York City Ballet announced today the promotion of three of the Company's dancers. Soloists Lauren Lovette and Anthony Huxley have been promoted to the rank of principal dancer, and corps de ballet member Ashly Isaacs has been promoted to soloist.
