Sottosopra Cinema LLC, an Illinois production company, announced today its launch of a feature-length documentary film on the student loan debt crisis by Emmy nominated director Josh Hester and award-winning producer Zach Baliva. The documentary, currently in pre-production, will examine the impact student loan debt is having on current, future, and former students as well as their friends, their families, and our nation. It is expected to hit the festival circuit in 2015 ahead of DVD distribution. The project is launching with a 30-day, $15,000 crowdfunding campaign to finance the production of a short-format version of the film.
