The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts' Target World Music and Dance Series opens on Friday, October 25 at 7:30 p.m. with performers Lizz Wright and Raul Midon. The singer-songwriters share the Ordway Stage with their combined talents to present an intoxicating collection of contemporary songs that deftly span the genre of jazz, R&B, soul and gospel.

Joe's Pub at The Public is proud to welcome seven different artist residencies this summer including sultry pop songstress DIANE BIRCH, New Orleans piano virtuoso HENRY BUTLER, performance artist JOHN KELLY, swinging jazz band THE HOT SARDINES, airhostess/comedienne PAM ANN, and more. Like its NEW YORK VOICES commissioning program, these residencies are a central part of the venue's commitment to artist development and to providing space for new work. Singer Ann Hampton Callaway called it 'Musical Church,' and deemed host Jim Caruso the 'Irreverent Reverend!' Monday night's Cast Party was the be-all and end-all of extreme open-mic madness, with impromptu performances by some of the best and brightest on the Broadway, jazz, cabaret and concert scenes. Callaway led a blues vocal quintet, along with headliner Lorna Luft, Broadway leading lady Carrie Manolakos, Birdland's William Blake and Manilow-co-star Muffy Hendrix. Rubin Museum of Art Theater Reopens With Naked Soul Concert Series

The Rubin Museum of Art today announced the Fall 2011 Naked Soul Concert series. This premiere all acoustic and unplugged performance series is held in the Rubin Museum of Art's intimate 137-seat theater - a flagship arts and performance space in the heart of Chelsea. Naked Soul offers an opportunity for performers to be unplugged but totally connected.
