Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College concludes its 2015-16 Jazz Series on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 3pm with three-time Grammy Award-winning pianist Ramsey Lewis and singer/guitarist John Pizzarelli, joining forces in a tribute to the titan of fifties vocal pop, Nat King Cole.

Spring is nearly here and so is Leddy's latest production! Neil Simon's 'The Star Spangled Girl' will open our 42nd Season today, March 11, with performances today and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm and Sundays and one Wednesday, March 16, at 2pm!!

New York City's 92nd Street Y will present "On Madeline Kahn," a panel on the life & career of MADELINE KAHN (1942-99), the Oscar-nominated, Emmy & Tony-winning actress, on Tuesday, April 5, at 7pm. Star of such hit films as Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Paper Moon & Clue & Broadway shows On the Twentieth Century, The Sisters Rosensweig & Two by Two, Kahn is the subject of WILLIAM V. MADISON'S biography, MADELINE KAHN: Being the Music • A Life (University Press of Mississippi). The event will be moderated by frequent 92nd Street Y host & 5-time Billboard Award-winner VALERIE SMALDONE.
Producer George Martin of 'The Beatles' Has Passed Away

MTV reports that Sir George Martin, the producer and musician known as “the fifth Beatle,” has died at the age of 90. According to his management team, Martin died peacefully on March 8th at his home in England.

Fallen Angel Theatre Company (Aedin Moloney, Producing Artistic Director) today announced their next production: the Off-Broadway Premiere of Sharman Macdonald's When I Was A Girl I Used To Scream and Shout, a bittersweet and bitingly funny examination of mother/daughter turmoil. Performances will begin April 14th and continues through May 8th at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre.
