Often cast as the foil for Divine in such cult classics as Hairspray, Female Trouble and Pink Flamingos, she also appeared with Kathleen Turner in Serial Mom.

Your Money or Your Art is the theme of the July 24 benefit night at International CringeFest '09 at the Producers' Club. The theme evokes the struggle of the artist, especially in an economic downturn, and all the plays that evening are comically razor-sharp: A Dark & Stormy Night (producer tortures writer 'for his own good'), The Poorly-Written Play Festival (lambasts whilst demonstrating bad playwriting), Worst. Play. Ever. (live radio drama with a maniacal twist), and Piss Play Is about Minorities, So It's Really Important (just how far will one go for funding?).

Jill Paice (Curtains, The Woman in White, A Little Night Music) recently joined the cast of Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS, Broadway's longest running comedy, playing the roles of Annabella Schmidt, Pamela and Margaret. Now in its second smash year, the Tony Award-winning quick change comedy version of Hitchcock's classic film thriller is playing at the Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street). The production also recently played its 500th performance on Broadway.

A Broadway revival of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart's BABES IN ARMS is in the works, according to Variety. The production will be directed and choreographed by Randy Skinner (recently Tony nominated Choreographer of 'Irving Berlin's White Christmas') and will utilize a new book by Joe DiPietro ('I Love You, You're Perfect...Now Change!', 'The Toxic Avenger' and 'Memphis'). The production will star Rosie O'Donnell.

'Good Morning America' will go behind-the-scenes at Broadway's THE 39 STEPS on Friday, October 3, in a segment running nationally between 8:30 - 9:00 AM. In the New York area, 'Good Morning America' airs on WABC-TV, Channel 7. Check local listings.

The men of Broadway's THE 39 STEPS - Artie Burton, Sam Robards and Cliff Saunders - will appear at Borders Columbus Circle on Monday, September 22 at 6:00 PM, as the celebrations for Hitchcock Month continue throughout September. Spangler will compete against the other 'Amazing Racers' with his sister and teammate, Starr Spangler, a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Starting at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the 13th season of the Emmy-winning reality competition will follow the teams as they travel over 30,000 miles in 23 days to countries such as Brazil, Bolivia, Russia, India and Kazakhstan.

One talented gentleman plays the ironically billed role of 'Man 1', this would be better titled, 'Man 1000', for he seems to be playing that many roles and more, seemingly at the same time! This 'Man' is the delightfully talented, Cliff Saunders, a Canadian actor making his Broadway debut in The 39 Steps.
