The Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers (CLLAW) is putting the 'sizzle' in summer at CLLAW XIX tonight, July 25 at Logan Square Auditorium, 2539 N. Kedzie Ave. in Chicago. Presented by Sideshow Theatre Company, CLLAW's 19th bout will feature Chicago's biggest, baddest, most belligerent lady arm wrestlers decked out in over-the-top outfits with fast-talking managers, ebullient entourages and shady referees. As a part of "Made in NY" Talks, a free series of conversations focused on jobs in the local entertainment industry, the NYC Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment in partnership with Global Pride Business Coalition, Harlem Pride, Global Network of Black Pride and The National Black Theatre will present "Made in NY": Flipping the Script - The Next Chapter of SGL/LGBTQ Portrayal in Media on Monday, June 23 at 7pm at the National Black Theatre in celebration of Pride Week in NYC.

The cast includes Jenni Burke (Buddy … The Buddy Holly Story, Bat Boy), Erica Clow (Seussical), Steven Greenfield (Spitfire Grill, Titanic, West Side Story), Tim Koetting (Anne of Green Gables), Ksenia Thurgood (Wizard of Oz, CATS), Deb Williams (Mom's The Word) & Barrie Wood, (Oliver!). Scenic design is by Ted Price, costume design by Marian Truscott, sound design by Haylee Tucker, lighting design by Dave Smith and stage management is by Sarah Wallin.
