A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum will take the stage at the Shakespeare Theatre Company this holiday season. Making his STC mainstage directing debut, STC Associate Director Alan Paul heads up the hilarious and fun musical farce based on the classic plays of ancient Roman playwright Plautus. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum will play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from November 21, 2013-January 5, 2014.

Two boys and their parents find themselves at the center of an emotional storm in Joel Drake Johnson's play A Queer Kiss, being given its world premiere by the Deep Dish Theater Company tonight, October 25 to November 16. Directed by Artistic Director Paul Frellick, the play continues the company's thirteenth season at University Mall.
Atlanta Symphony Welcomes Three New Musicians

Music Director Robert Spano and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra have announced the appointment of three new full-time musicians. Christopher Todd Skitch, Second Flute, and Stuart Stephenson, Principal Trumpet, joined the Orchestra at the beginning of the 2013-14 season. Violinist Anastasia Agapova will join the Orchestra in November 2013.

Profiles Theatre announces that actor Paul Dillon returns to the role he originated in the 1992 world premiere of Hellcab by Will Kern for Profiles' holiday season revival of their hit production. Once again, Profiles Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox returns to direct a cast of 34 with Dillon joining the cast as the beleaguered cab driver and ensemble member Eric Burgher assistant directing. Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in a program of Mozart's three final symphonies - Nos. 39, 40, and 41, Jupiter - Friday, November 29, 2013, at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 30 at 8:00 p.m. Classical 105.9 FM WQXR in New York will broadcast the November 30 concert live at 8:00 p.m. as part of a month-long festival on the music and life of Mozart.

Chicago Children's Theatre is tuning up to present the world premiere of Mr. Chickee's Funny Money, an all-new, rhythm and blues family musical based on the book by Christopher Paul Curtis, featuring music and lyrics by Motown legend Lamont Dozier and his son, co-music writer/lyricist Paris Dozier, book by David Ingber, directed by Derrick Sanders, musical supervision by Brian Usifer.
