Artistic Director Bonnie Metzgar today announced About Face Theatre's upcoming holiday cabaret, featuring a performance of 'Oklahomo For The Holidays', running December 11th through 14th at the Hoover-Leppen Theatre at the Center on Halsted (3656 N. Halsted).

Goodman Theatre proudly extends Animal Crackers through November 1, 2009. Director Henry Wishcamper's production of this rarely staged Marx Brothers classic musical has been hailed 'pure pleasure' (Time Out Chicago) in which 'not a minute goes by when the audience isn't being awed by the spectacle (and) astonished by the breakneck comic mayhem.' (Daily Herald).

Daley, proclaiming this day 'Laugh Out Loud Day' in Chicago. '(I) urge all Chicagoans to take a moment to laugh out loud as they reacquaint themselves with the Marx Brothers and the Goodman's madcap musical.'

Spaulding'-the heightened vaudevillian persona created by Groucho Marx for the 1929 stage and screen original-in Goodman Theatre's season opening musical Animal Crackers, written by George S. Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind, with music and lyrics by Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby.
