In celebration of The Orpheum Theatre's upcoming engagement of Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, the Orpheum, in partnership with Carriage Crossing and the Phantom North American Tour, is hosting a special limited-time free exhibit of selected Phantom costumes by the late Tony Award-winning designer Maria Björnson. Björnson's sketches as well as costumes from the production will be on display in Suite 555 at Carriage Crossing (4675 Merchants Park Cir., Collierville, TN) September 12-21, Mon-Sat 10am-6pm and Sun 1pm-5pm. These exquisite original designs will be featured in the spectacular new touring production playing at The Orpheum Theatre September 24 – October 5.

Broadway's waiting list is getting long.

Producers Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group today announced several principal cast changes for the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince. The longest-running show in Broadway history and the most successful stage production of all-time, PHANTOM recently surpassed the milestone of performance #11,000 in New York – an unprecedented feat achieved by no other Broadway show. The Broadway production has played to more than 16 million people at The Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street), the musical's home for more than 26 record-breaking years.

In this video, she gives viewers a backstage look at some of the props, costumes, and more. Since it's entitled 'A Day in MISS SAIGON... Broadway's Les Miserables recently introduced the world to #MizFlatCosette, stemming from the popular concepts of Flat Stanley and Flat Stella. Over the course of the past few weeks, Flat Cosette has made her way around the world with fans at their favorite spots or on vacation. Today, Flat Cosette officially nominated herself for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, in return challenging Flat Stanley, Flat Stella and Les Miserables Broadway's own Cosette, Samantha Hill.

The Gala Performance to celebrate 25 years of Boublil & Schonberg's MISS SAIGON on Monday 22 September, has sold out within minutes of tickets going on sale this morning, Tuesday 26 August. Over 18,000 people tried to buy tickets when booking opened at10.00am; an unprecedented amount for a single performance in a theatre with just over 1700 seats.

The Kennedy Center today announced casting for the Washington, D.C. engagement of Evita which runs in the Kennedy Center Opera House from September 30 to October 19, 2014. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford, this is the first new Broadway production of the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical since it debuted on Broadway more than 30 years ago. The press opening night is Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.

A reissue of the complete recording of Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schonberg's MISS SAIGON is set for release today according to a new listing on Amazon.

MISS SAIGON made its highly anticipated return to London on May 21, 2014 at the Prince Edward Theatre, in the musical's 25th anniversary year. Now there is even more to look forward to, as the show just announced via Facebook that fans can register to see a special gala performance on September 22:
