Featuring 36 performers, the production stars Michele Ragusa as Anna, seen recently on Broadway in Young Frankenstein, Urinetown, Ragtime, A Class Act, Titanic and Cyrano. Wayne Hu stars as the King, recently seen in Camelot and King for a Day with The Glimmerglass Festival and La Boheme with Opera Memphis. The King and I also includes performances by 14 local children (ages 6 - 11) from Lake Worth to the Treasure Coast, cast through the Theatre's annual First Step to Stardom audition program.

Michele Ragusa Replaces Victoria Clark in TITANIC at Lincoln Center

Rehearsals are in full swing and in just one week the TONY Award-winning score from Titanic: The Musical will be performed live at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center. Tickets are selling fast for this once-off concert performance, which features almost the entire cast from the original Broadway musical, over 200 singers, and the enlarged forces of the professional New York City Chamber Orchestra, all Directed by Don Stephenson, with Music Direction by Kevin Stites.

CRAVING FOR TRAVEL Ends Off-Broadway Run this Weekend

Greg Edwards & Andy Sandberg's acclaimed two-actor, 30-character comedy about travel agents and the people they serve, Craving for Travel, now making its world premiere at the Peter J. Sharp Theater (416 W. 42nd Street, NYC), will close as scheduled this Sunday, February 9. The play is commissioned and produced by Jim Strong, one of America's leading luxury travel agents, and directed by Sandberg.

Last week was a pretty great one on the Barricuda. We survived another snow storm (Why, oh why, oh why-o? Why did I ever leave Southern California...) and luckily New York did not stand us up. We had a great audience who trekked out into the grossness to laugh at us. Even pianist and late night sidekick extraordinaire, Paul Shaffer, endured the Polar Vortex. Fun Fact! He played on the original track for Barry Manilow's 'Daybreak' which happens to be our closing number. Full circle.

The world premiere of Greg Edwards & Andy Sandberg's new comedy, Craving for Travel will run Off-Broadway through February 9, 2014 at the Peter J. Sharp Theater (416 W. 42nd Street, NYC). Directed by Sandberg (Shida, The Last Smoker in America), a Tony Award-winner as a producer of Hair, the cast features Michele Ragusa (Young Frankenstein, Disaster!) and Thom Sesma (The Lion King, The Times They Are A-Changin') collectively playing thirty characters-chiefly, Joanne and Gary, rival travel agents (and former spouses) vying for their industry's most prestigious honor: the Globel Prize. Mary Birdsong (Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, "Reno 911") will join the cast of DISASTER!, the hilarious, acclaimed 1970s disaster movie musical now playing Off-Broadway at the St. Luke's Theatre (308 W. 46th Street) on Monday, December 9th. Ms. Birdsong will take over the role of lounge singer "Jackie," played by Michele Ragusa, whose final performance will be on Friday, December 6th.

Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Kicks Off Their Holiday Season With THE NUTCRACKER Today

Buffalo, NY - The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra brings all of the sounds of the season to Western New Yorkers. The holiday festivities kick off on Thanksgiving weekend, when the BPO joins Neglia Ballet Artists at Shea's Buffalo for the classic ballet, 'The Nutcracker.' Erin Freeman will lead the orchestra. DISASTER! -- the hilarious, acclaimed 1970s disaster movie musical now playing Off-Broadway at the St. Luke's Theatre (308 W. 46th Street) - is getting into the holiday spirit by adding a performance to this week's schedule - and by offering a discount for those who come with canned goods (to be donated to charity). Those who come to the St. Luke's Theatre today, November 29th with 2 canned goods will be eligible to purchase $25 tickets to that afternoon's special matinee performance at 1:30 PM. All collected canned goods will be donated to charity. The St. Luke's Box Office will open at on Friday, 12/29 at Noon ($25 tickets are available IN-PERSON ONLY on a first-come, first-served basis while supply lasts).
