The JimHenson Company, Herschend Studios and PBS KIDS are kicking off 'Ocean Friends Forever,' a social media and community engagement initiative with multiple PBS station events across the country the week of June 1-8, to coincide with the internationally celebrated World Oceans Day on June 8. The effort is themed around the new PBS KIDS series SPLASH AND BUBBLES, which encourages children to explore ocean science and marine biology. The New York Children's Theatre Festival has announced the shows selected for its fourth season. The four productions are The Sock Who Lost His Mate; Sue Ology & the Case of the Possibly Haunted House; Help Save the Monkey!; and The Meanest Birthday Girl.

George Street Playhouse and Artistic Director David Saint welcome New Jersey native John Tartaglia, from the original Broadway cast of Avenue Q, as well as TV's Sesame Street and the Emmy Award - nominated Johnny and the Sprites to New Brunswick as the sole cast member of Buyer & Cellar, the fourth production of the New Brunswick theatre's current season. Mr. Tartaglia will take the fictional journey to the fictional version of Barbra Streisand's fictional basement through March 29. Opening night is set for tonight, March 6. Gables Grove Productions Inc. (GGP) has announced the expansion of two of their successful original Carnival Cruise Lines family entertainment experiences. Towel Animal Theater, which launched in 2012 and is now in production on 12 Carnival ships, will be produced on most of the fleet - 22 ships-- by the end of 2015. Seuss-a-Palooza Storytime and Parade, which made its premiere in February 2014 and is now on four ships, has inked a deal to be on the entire fleet - 24 ships - by the end of 2015.
