The fifth season of the acclaimed Monday Nights, New Voices series Continues March 30th at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre. Legally Blonde's Kate Shindle, who will return to Birdland for her solo show, classic, March 23rd, will host the evening featuring the talents of Mathew Burrow, Natalie Elise Hall, Darius Harper, Danny McNie and Amy Toporek. Show time is 7 PM.

THE THEATRE COMPANY @ CAP21 presents a benefit concert of new songs from new musicals. The concert will take place Monday, March 23rd at 7:30pm at CAP21 located on the 6th Floor of 18 West 18th Street, NYC. Tickets are $30 and include a post-show wine reception with the writers and performers. The evening is being directed by Ryan Mekenian with musical direction by J. Oconer Navarro. Proceeds will benefit the New Works program at CAP21.

arlier this month, Alan Zachary & Michael Weiner joined in a week-long celebration at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. of the 'Next Generation of Broadway Songwriters' by performing an hour-long concert of their songs, joined by Megan Hilty (star of Broadway's Wicked and 9 to 5). The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the directors and casts for the eight musicals being presented at its 20th Annual Festival of New Musicals at New World Stages (340 West 50th St) on Monday, October 20 and Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Also, announced were the line-up for this year's Songwriter Showcase happening during the Festival.

CAP21 has announced this Fall's Dorothy Strelsin New Works Series, running October 6th through November 10th.
