The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director), winner of a special 2006 Drama Desk Award for 'Vital contributions to theatre by developing and producing new musicals' will present NEO5, a benefit concert celebrating emerging musical theatre writers, on Monday, April 27 at its home in Saint Peter's Theatre. Following the 8 PM performance featuring the voices of many of today's top musical theatre talent, there will be a champagne and dessert reception to end the evening catered by Kitchenette.

The Young Professionals Committee of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, New York City Affiliate will present The Pink Campaign on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd St). This one-night only event will take place on Monday, May 4, 2009 and will be an inspirational Broadway benefit performance filling the stage with original music and theatre that explores the ways in which breast cancer touches people's lives.

Becca Ayers, Heather Ayers, Lauren Kennedy, Kristy Cates, Erin Davie, Lori Eure, Lauren Kennedy, Lindsay Mendez, Cary Michele Miller, Keira Naughton, Julie Reiber, Jenny Powers, and Megan Sikora all sang some of their favorite songs for an eclectic evening of music to raise money and awareness for CARE. Student tickets are now available at the New World Stages box office for Here's to the Ladies who CARE: A Benefit for CARE. For $26.50, with a valid student ID, students will not only learn about CARE, but also get to hear some of their favorite Broadway performers sing. Plus, they will get to attend the post-concert reception where they'll have the opportunity to bid on special 'student only' silent auction items such as memorabilia signed by some of Broadways biggest stars. The concert was in honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness. BWW was there to capture the emotional evening of song and dance for a truly worthy cause.
