On Monday evening, February 23 at 8:00pm, the Broadway community (and beyond) came together for one of the most important events of the year - Defying Inequality: The Broadway Concert -- A Celebrity Benefit for Equal Rights, a one-night only concert event at the Gershwin Theatre (222 W. 51st Street). Composer and lyricist Scott Alan returned to Birdland on January 12th for a concert featuring a starry line-up of Broadway performers. The January 12th performance featured selections from Alan's debut CD, 'Dreaming Wide Awake' and his recently released CD 'Keys.'

The Broadway Boys presented 'BROADWAY SINGS FOR TOYS!' a benefit for Toys For Tots. This year was the 4th installment of this special holiday concert/celebration. The benefit took take place December 14th at 9PM at The Zipper Factory, 336 W. 37th Street.

On Thursday June 26th, DON'T QUIT proudly celebrated its 2nd anniversary. The show began as a one-off benefit on June 26, 2006 at Joe's Pub, which grew into 10 sellout months. In the spring of 2007, a commercial production played off-Broadway at the HA! Comedy Club in Times Square. By 2008, the show was firmly planted at The Zipper Factory, playing to oversold houses for six months straight.

Guests on May 29 at 'Don't Quit Your Night Job' will include David Hyde Pierce -- last year's Tony winner for Best Actor in a Musical -- as well as comedy diva Lea DeLaria and the titular star of next season's SHREK, Tony nominee Brian d'Arcy James. The show will also welcome Matt Cavenaugh, star of A Catered Affair, along with Grease's Danny and Sandy, reality TV stars Max Crumm and Laura Osnes.

The Broadway Boys, six of the hottest male voices on Broadway, are returned to Westport Sunday night to perform in an all-new benefit concert to the delight of theatergoers all over Fairfield County.
