Family dynamics can be the source of endless comedic material, as is the case in the 2nd play of the CSC Women Playwrights Series, "In the Car with Blossom and Len" by Joni Fritz, which will be presented on Wednesday, Apr 23 at 7:30 PM in the Lackland Center in Hackettstown. In this funny and poignant new play, a basket full of unpaid bills for chemical engineer Lenny Gold's laboratory is discovered one of his adult daughters, unveiling a lifetime of secrets, a mysterious silent partner, and a few other challenges which must be met by this family. "In the Car.." is a delightful family saga about growing up, growing older and where you put the keys.

Rosie's Theater Kids (RTKids) will present 'Passing It On: An Evening of Mentorship' to benefit Rosie's Theater Kids at the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater on Monday April 28, 2014 at 7pm. This year's event will honor legendary director and choreographer and RTKids mentor, Pat Birch.

The next production in Town Hall Arts Center's 2013-2014 Season will be Swing!, Original concept by Paul Kelly, original direction and choreography by Lynne Taylor ' Corbett. Swing! is directed by Matthew D. Peters, most recently seen choreographing Peter Pan for PACE and Home for the Holidays at Lone Tree Arts Center, Matthew makes his directorial debut at Town Hall Arts Center.

Pacific Northwest Ballet Artistic Director Peter Boal has announced that after a 17-year career with the Company, principal dancer Kaori Nakamura will retire from performing at the end of PNB's 2013-2014 season. Ms. Nakamura joined PNB as a soloist in 1997 and was promoted to principal in 1998. Following her retirement, Ms. Nakamura will be joining the faculty of PNB School.

New York City Ballet announced today that Principal Dancers Jenifer Ringer, Janie Taylor, Sebastien Marcovici, and Jonathan Stafford will retire from the Company during the 2014 Winter and Spring Seasons. All four of these Principal Dancers joined the Company during the 1990s as members of the corps de ballet, and have performed countless roles by numerous choreographers during careers spanning from 15 to 24 years with New York City Ballet.

If Opera be the Food of Love, Eat On, starring Chef Matthew Passaclacqua of Lure Grill & Wendy Taucher Dance Opera Theater. The Opera Dinner will be presented tonight, October 19th, 2013 at the Winnetu Oceanside Resort - Lure Grill (31 Dunes Road Edgartown, MA 02539). Amas Musical Theatre has announced the first two shows of its 45th Season! The Amas Lab series begins in September with two new musicals: notes to MariAnne and Cookin'! Both shows take place during America's heady post-World War II years, but couldn't be more different.
