The multiple Tony Award-winning musical adaptation of Spring Awakening, with book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik, is set to receive an innovative, immersive production performed simultaneously in American Sign Language and spoken English. Presented by Deaf West Theatre in association with The Forest of Arden, Spring Awakening opens Sept. 13 at Inner City Arts in downtown L.A.

Shakespeare/Summerfest Orange County (SOC) at The Garden Grove Amphitheater continues its innovative 2014 season of ONE BIG FAMILY UNDER THE STARS by joining forces with the Vietnamese American Arts & Letters Association (VAALA) in producing a community night benefit for VAALA. TRIEU TRAN (UNPLUGGED), a concert version of the Vietnamese American actor's critically acclaimed UNCLE HO TO UNCLE SAM, directed by Robert Egan, which played to sold out houses at The Kirk Douglas Theatre in Los Angeles last year, will make its Orange County debut for a one-night only engagement.

It probably will come as shock to many to know that when the play, 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest,' a script by Dale Wasserman, based on Kent Kesey's novel of the same name, opened on Broadway in 1963, in spite of a cast that included Kirk Douglas, Gene Wilder, William Daniels, Ed Ames and Joan Tetzel, it was basically a flop, running only 82 performances.

A curse lies upon the land of Thebes and its ill-fated rulers that reiterates generation upon generation. Casey Stangl directs the world premiere of The Curse of Oedipus, written by Kenneth Cavander and developed by The Antaeus Company. Opening weekend for the fully double-cast production runs today, June 19 -22 at the Antaeus Theater in NoHo.
