Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts ('The Wallis'), Deaf West Theatre and Cody Lassen present the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening for a limited 22-performance engagement Thursday, May 21 to Sunday, June 7, 2015 (press opening May 28) in the Bram Goldsmith Theater.

On January 9, 2015 in New York City, Obie Award winner David Drake will direct the inaugural reading of the new musical The Beachcomber Boys, with book and lyrics by Myra Slotnick and music by Grammy Award-winning composer Peter Stopschinski, whose contribution to Madeleine George's The Curious Case Of Dr. Watson was nominated for the 2013 Pulitzer Prize in Drama.

Casting is set for powerhouse Latino theatre group Culture Clash's "Chavez Ravine: An L.A. Revival," which opens February 4, 2015, at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. Previews begin January 27 and performances run through March 1.

The Geffen Playhouse announces the cast for its West Coast premiere production of Conor McPherson's The Night Alive, helmed by Geffen Playhouse Artistic Director Randall Arney. This production will feature Paul Vincent O'Connor (August: Osage County at the National Theatre, London), Fiona O'Shaughnessy (Utopia), Dan Donohue (The Lion King on Broadway), Denis Arndt (Basic Instinct), and Peter O'Meara (Band of Brothers).

The Civilians' "Pretty Filthy," A New Musical About The Other Hollywood," with music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, book by Bess Wohl and directed by Steve Cosson, is set to open January 31 and play through March 1, 2015, at the Abrons Arts Center in New York City.

Socrates in the City presented a very special onstage interview with legendary TV personality, Dick Cavett, December 3rd at W83 Space in Manhattan. It was announced today that a newly revised draft of Brandon Baruch's play NO HOMO will receive an Industry Reading at the Kirk Douglas Theatre on December 8th at 8pm. The reading will be directed by Jessica Hanna and produced by Max Oken.
