The first iTunes Festival was held in the US, featuring an amazing lineup of global superstars, running from March 11-15. Taking place at ACL Live at the Moody Theater, home of Austin City Limits, the iTunes Festival at SXSW will feature iTunes chart toppers including Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Pitbull, Keith Urban, ZEDD and more to come. All five nights of the iTunes Festival will be available to enjoy for free as a live and on-demand stream via the iTunes Store on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC. With so much to do in Austin during SXSW, you can easily get lost in the sea of people all around. You feel a great electricity in the air as musicians and fans combine with one fantastic week of non-stop experiences. As the week started off, The Fray along with Allen Stone and Saints of Valory delivered a stellar performance at Emo's.

BWW Recaps: IDOL's Top-12 Show Signs of Life

Well, after last week's mini-disaster of a top-13 week, there was not much that American Idol could have thrown out on stage tonight that wouldn't have been an improvement. The home-visit episode, where the final three contestants receive ticker tape parades in their respective hometowns, has been the most emotional in each of IDOL's first 12 seasons. So apparently, new producer Per Blankens decided to use some of that emotion in the early stages of this season. While both the vocals and performances were stark improvements over last week, I'm not sure that this episode is going to harken back to the Golden Days of AMERICAN IDOL's dominance.
Annenberg Space for Photography Announces 'Country: Portraits of an American Sound', 5/31

The Annenberg Space for Photography today announced its next exhibition, Country: Portraits of an American Sound. This exhibit presents images of the pioneers, poets and icons of country music, and will be offered free to the public May31 through September 28, 2014. Guest curators for this exhibit are Shannon Perich of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, and Tim Davis and Michael McCall of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
