Exploring the UK's best-loved and most fiercely debated institutions THIS MAY HURT A BIT was written and researched by Stella Feehily after her husband, director Max Stafford-Clark, suffered a major stroke in 2006.

Max Stafford-Clark's production of Stella Feehily's new NHS play THIS MAY HURT A BIT explores the UK's best-loved and most fiercely debated institution. The production will star acclaimed actress Stephanie Cole (OPEN ALL HOURS BBC, CORONATION STREET ITV, WAITING FOR GOD BBC and PYGMALION at the Chichester Festival Theatre) as Iris - a witty, feisty and independent elderly woman whose socialist values were forged in a kinder age. An unswerving champion of the NHS, she finds herself unexpectedly in its care.

THE LAST CONFESSION, Starring David Suchet, to Tour Australia in 2014

Internationally acclaimed British actor David Suchet will reprise his role on stage in the conspiracy thriller, 'THE LAST CONFESSION', in Australia in 2014. The international production will play in Toronto and Los Angeles before arriving in Australia in August. Seasons in Perth and Brisbane were announced late last year and now dates have been confirmed for seasons at Adelaide's Her Majesty's Theatre from August 27 and Melbourne's Comedy Theatre from September 3. Tickets on sale from Friday February 7.

The additional dates for the smash-hit show include the Eastbourne Congress Theatre (Tuesday 13 - Saturday 24 January 2015), Sunderland Empire (Tuesday 27 January - Saturday 14 February 2015), the Edinburgh Playhouse (Tuesday 24 February - Saturday 14 March 2015), the Wales Millennium Centre Cardiff (Tuesday 17 - Saturday 28 March 2015) and the Liverpool Empire (Tuesday 7 - Saturday 25 April 2015). Demand is expected to be high, so early booking is advisable!

Owen Teale to Star in UK Tour of Dylan Thomas' UNDER MILK WOOD

GAME OF THRONES actor Owen Teale will star in director Terry Hands' new production of UNDER MILK WOOD, which will embark on an English tour, following its run at Clywd Theatr Cymru and a Welsh tour, at York Theatre Royal on Monday 21 April. The production marks the centenary of Dylan Thomas' birth, as well as the 60th anniversary since UNDER MILK WOOD was first produced in Britain, as a radio play by the BBC, in 1954. A cast of Welsh actors also includes TORCHWOOD actor Kai Owen and Steven Meo (THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS).

The 312 seat main house is an exciting alternative to the West End, staging a varied programme of quality plays and musicals and featuring excellent sightlines from every seat. The intimate studio space incorporates the very best of both established and emerging talent in the worlds of cabaret, music, comedy and theatre. The informal bar and brasserie on the ground floor, and the elegant Carrara restaurant on the first floor cater for all pre and post-theatre tastes. Earlier this month, the St. James Theatre was one of only seven theatres shortlisted for the My Theatre Matters! Most Welcoming Theatre Award out of over 225 theatre venues across the country.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Timberlake Wertenbaker's Olivier Award-winning play, Our Country's Good, Out of Joint will present a series of staged readings of Timberlake's work. This will include the acclaimed play Three Birds Alighting on a Field, which will be directed by Max Stafford-Clark, and The Grace of Mary Traverse directed by Blanche McIntyre. Out of Joint will also present the world premiere of Timberlake's new play - Jefferson's Garden.
