Dances Patrele 20th Anniversary Celebration begins at Barnes & Nobel Lincoln Triangle, 1972 Broadway (at 65th Street) on Monday, April 13th at 7:00 pm. The Free event is a celebration, talk and CD/book signing in honor of the company's 20th Anniversary and the premiere of MURDER AT THE MASQUE.

Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts has named renowned Forsythe dancers and educators Jill Johnson and Mario Zambrano as the 2009 Artists in Residence at The New School. Johnson and Zambrano will create with the students an original work inspired by One Flat Thing, reproduced, a work by choreographer William Forsythe of The Forsythe Company, which premiered in 2000.

The Westchester Broadway Theatre will again, be hosting the annual Cab Calloway Lifetime Achievement Awards for 2009. Cab Calloway was a resident of Elmsford, N.Y. for approximately 34 years. His career spanned over six decades and was highlighted by his work on stage, film, television and in the recording industry. The Cab Calloway Lifetime Achievement Awards are meant to honor his commitment to excellence in the performing arts as well as his dedication and support for young, rising talent. It is an honor that the award bears his name.

Dances Patrelle, 20th Repertory Season, will be presented April 16-19, 2009 at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (68th Street between Park & Lexington Avenues) NYC. Additionally, following the reading, there will be a 'sneak peek' of Making Books Sing's new musical - the World-Premiere family musical JOS? LIM?N: THE MAKING OF AN ARTIST, with star Diego Rodriguez. JOS? In the Beginning runs Jan. 21-Feb. 15 at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. Presenting familiar stories from Genesis - the creation of the world, Adam and Eve in Eden, jealousy and murder among brothers, the world's destruction by water - In the Beginning offers a fresh retelling of age-old tales interspersed with engaging dialogue taken directly from conversations with local community members and respected religious scholars about the text. 'In the Beginning does not present a single, definitive interpretation of the stories we find in Genesis,' Moriarty says. 'Rather, it is a reflection of the conversations we've had with people of faith throughout our community about the text and the personal truths and insights they've found through their own explorations into these stories.'

Once again The Yorkville Nutcracker will have students from: Ballet Academy East, Studio Maestro, The Ailey School and 92nd St Y Harkness Dance Center. The two-act ballet, has been choreographed by Artistic Director, Francis Patrelle. It has set design by Gillian Bradshaw-Smiths, costumes by Rita B. Watson, and lighting by David Grill. There will be a Memorial Celebration of the life of acclaimed choreographer Glen Tetley, this Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 2:00PM. The memorial will take place at the New York Public Library For The Performing Arts - Dorothy and Lewis B Cullman Center - Bruno Walter Auditorium (111 Amsterdam Avenue at West 65th Street Lincoln Center), and is open to the public.
