The Broadway League held its first-ever Schoenfeld Vision for Arts in Education Award benefit to raise funds for the NYC Schools Blueprint for the Arts program and The Broadway League's educational initiatives at a Gala honoring Gerald Schoenfeld, Chairman of the Shubert Organization and Joel Klein, Chancellor of the New York City Department of Education on Monday, October 6th at the Waldorf Astoria.

The New York City Department of Education and The Al Hirschfeld Foundation announced today the launch of The Al Hirschfeld Project for public school educators (K-12) that explores the arts through the lines and shapes of artist Al Hirschfeld. A reception will take place Thursday, March 13th at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th St.) to formally announce the curriculum.

Inside Broadway, the innovative and acclaimed children's theater organization founded in 1982 by Michael Presser to create the audiences of tomorrow, will celebrate its Twenty-Fifth Anniversary with a Benefit Concert on Monday October 15, 2007 at 7:30 PM at the McGraw-Hill Auditorium, Avenue of the Americas and 49th Street in Rockefeller Center.
